Spencer Theater
The Spencer Theater, designed by renowned architect Antoine Predock, is a world-class performance hall in the region, showcasing professional performances of all genres of music, ballet, drama, modern dance, comedy, and Broadway throughout the year. With its unique architecture, exceptional acoustics, intimate seating, and excellent artistry, it is widely recognized as a distinguished landmark. The theater, which opened in 1997, features an elegant and award-winning hall that seats 514, with no seat farther than 67 feet from the 4,770 square-foot stage. There is also a 964 square-foot outdoor stage that can seat up to 1,500 people.
The Spencer Theater is a stunning building, featuring a Spanish mica-flecked limestone face, crystal lobby, and a permanent collection of dazzling Dale Chihuly hand-blown glass sculptures on both levels of the lobby, as well as the Founder’s Dining Room and loggia. Free public tours are offered at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the year.
As the $22 million Spencer Theater is the front door to Rainmakers, owners of the resort enjoy a special relationship with the venue and touring artists. There are opportunities for private dining, backstage experiences with performers, and special holiday programs, adding genuine depth to the Rainmakers experience.
